Montgomery Flag Football started in 2005 and is affiliated with NFL FLAG Football, a popular five-on-five no-contact football format played by boys and girls worldwide. Montgomery Flag Football plays in both spring and fall seasons and may offer summer programs. The league has had participants from over 22 different local towns over the years, so you do not need to be a Montgomery resident. We are a recreational league that relies upon volunteer coaches to be successful. 

HOW FREQUENTLY AND WHEN WILL THE TEAMS PRACTICE AND PLAY?

Fall Flag - At the end of August or beginning of September we will organize an evaluation and skill session. Coaches meeting will then take place and team assignments will be made. Thereafter, we expect the teams will be practicing and playing two games per week on Saturday except for K-2 who will play one game. The season is expected to end the weekend prior to NJ Teachers Convention weekend. Each coach can meet once with their team the Saturday before the season starts to hold a practice and meet their team. Following that day all practices are a half hour preceding the game. 
There are no other practices allowed.

Spring Flag - At the end of March or beginning of April, we will organize an evaluation and skill session. Coaches meeting will then take place and team assignments will be made. Thereafter, we expect the teams will be practicing and playing one game per week on Sunday each week. The season is expected to end in mid-June.  Each coach can meet once with their team the Saturday before the season begins the season starts to hold a practice and meet their team. Following that day all practices are a half hour preceding the game.
